This position provides you the opportunity to play an active role in helping grow the economy, businesses, jobs and community prosperity in the southern inland region of NSW.
Regional Development Australia Southern Inland (RDA Southern Inland) is one of 14 committees in NSW tasked with providing input to government about regional opportunities and issues that impact on and contribute to effective regional economic development. The focus of this work is economic growth - especially in attracting investment, growing businesses and employment opportunities and improving the standard of living and working.
RDA Southern Inland is based in Queanbeyan and is recruiting an Executive Officer (EO) to manage the operations and stakeholder relationships of the organisation into 2015-16 and beyond.
The EO reports directly to the Chairman of RDA Southern Inland and provides high level support and information to the Committee to ensure that its activities and priorities are reflected in strategic and operational plans relevant to the region. This person will need to be able to objectively identify and develop initiatives that align with the purpose of the RDA and have the greatest potential to deliver economic growth to the business and community stakeholders of the southern inland region.
This position is also required to prepare complex reports, maintain financial management and reporting systems and provide evidence based input to projects and activities proposed by stakeholders as well as manage a staff of approximately three - five. The ability to exercise discretion in the use of commercially confidential and government information, and sensitivity in balancing different perspectives on regional issues will also be highly valuable.
Remuneration package includes Salary of $100,000 (plus superannuation), leased vehicle, laptop and mobile phone.

An exciting opportunity exists for a highly motivated and energetic person with strong supervisory and management skills to fill a leadership role within Council's Construction Team. This position will play a vital role in the successful delivery of the Works Program.
The successful applicant will have demonstrated self-management skills including effective time management and organisational skills within a complex working environment. Applicants will need to demonstrate their experience in construction and maintenance of road, water and sewer assets along with a proven ability to lead and direct staff in construction and maintenance techniques. This role also requires the capability to productively plan, schedule and allocate resources to meet department and Council objectives in an exacting timeframe within cost restraints.
Bombala Council supports the principals of EEO and offers a smoke free work environment. All applicants must be Australian citizens or have Australian residency status.
An attractive remuneration package, including a salary range of $55,900 to $64,000 plus superannuation will be negotiated with the successful applicant. Consideration will be given for a higher grading based on qualifications and experience.
